"Everything in life is boring," David thought to himself. "It's only what you put in to something can you expect some happy returns. Reading a story is...well....uh...boring. Video games are way more exciting. Stories are only text, and that is really boring. Then, sure enough, and it happens with every online game I have ever played, some kid will say, "I'm bored".
haha. it makes me laugh, because what else can i do?
The ship was hurling through space on the way towards its' programmed destination, a planet known as 'Fubar', named for lack of anything else to call it.
Online games were the only thing that made space traveling tolerable. Otherwise it was a borefest. With an online game, with thousands of people playing, things never got boring. The games were the only thing that made life on Earth tolerable, because otherwise it sucked ass.
In space, it was even worse than Earth. It was claustrophobic and cramped. There was no room. It was sterile, and uncomfortable. It didn't feel like home. It felt like how it was on an airplane. Everything was temporary, except this voyage lasted a lot longer. Years, in fact.
"Thank god for online games!" David exhumed, adding, "...Even though there isn't a god!"
mumbling...what a joke all that god shit was...hard to believe so many people fell for it.
"Anyhow, let's see if I can get to level 78 today, goddammit."
It was going to be a long, long voyage.
