A note from the creator of 'Space Journey Battles'

Space Journey Battles is a framework of stories and events that occur in another galaxy, the name of which I have not come up with yet.  For now, it features The Adventures of Dirk Rompaflash, who is a mercenary private soldier type of person who minds his own business, but constantly finds himself in trouble.  Dirk's name is derived from a video game, but I changed the name to avoid copyright issues.  I don't even want to touch other people's material.  I want to create my own fictional universe of events, characters, places, happenings, and instances.

My influences will be from a variety of sources, and I will do a lot of parody.  It will be all created by me, so no one else will be able to claim my content.  I will change all of my influences, and make them mine.

'Space Journey Battles' as a name came about as a title to cover the material that I wanted to involve myself with.  I wanted to do science fiction for starters.  I wanted there to be action and adventure, and I wanted there to be conflict.  All good places to start.
Having your own galaxy to work within is pretty cool.  It gives you plenty of room.

The nature of the content will be from Rated G to Rated PG-13.  I'm not really interested in crossing over into Rated R land.  Well, actually I am, but I've figured out where to do that material on another blog that is not monetized.  For monetized blogs, you have to keep the content relatively clean you know.  It seems to be how the world is these days.  There is a lot of confusion about what you can and can not do, so it is better to be safe than sorry.  It would suck to do a lot of work, and then to have Blogger decide that the content is not suitable for monetization.  It happened to me once before, and I don't want it to happen again.

Anyway, fun things are on the way, stay tuned, or not, it's up to you.  Nothing I can do about it except to present the material.  If anybody likes it, then fine, and if somebody doesn't like it, well they can go find something they do like, that part of the equation is not up to me.  I'm just trying to create some original material that is fun, funny, and kicks arse to a certain extent.

     See you guys later,
     David Lovins
