I don't know what art is anymore.
I think it might be a red circle painted on a piece of paper, and that is about it.
Any variation of this is simply a variance.
It is fun to watch Babylon 5, and it shows some assemblage work in Delann's apartment, but painted to match the color scheme.
The art on the war is simply 'prop art' made specifically for the show.
I took a class in that kind of art. It was fun. It made me think in new ways.
That kind of art is hard to sell, though, and it can often be heavy with all of the materials attached to it.
An art that I might actually be successful with is making art that relates to Star Wars. I could simply take great artworks from the past and put Star Wars characters in it. People are starting to do that.
George Lucas is very rich these days. He has done pretty well for himself.
Even girls are getting into Star Wars now. They see how cool it is. It is unprecedented for girls to get into anything to do with science fiction. They have finally seen the light.
If you are a girl looking for a cool guy, just start wearing Star Wars t-shirts. Guys will want to meet you.
An easy way to win over a guy's heart is to invite him over, make dinner, and wear a Princess Leia slave girl outfit.
I did not watch any Babylon 5 last night. I was busy doing other things, and I didn't want to get in a rut. So instead, I called up a friend, and after that, I made a new Princess Leia video which I hope will do well.
Carrie Fisher was never that hot, but as Princess Leia, she was.
Guys like science fiction chicks with a frenzied passion.
It has turned out that the slave girl outfit helped get a lot of guys through puberty, which is why so many people have fond memories of 'Return of The Jedi'.
While I was outside, I saw a blond wearing tight black stretchy pants. She looked pretty good from the front.
When I looked at the back, the pants were stretched tight about her lovely butt, showing everything. Let's put it this way, the pants were in the crease of her butt, showing everything. Plus, they were tight on her. It looked like the pants were painted on, and she was walking around naked. I don't have any complaints, and I'm glad this is the fashion. I love that girls want to show their butts. It is beautiful.
Yeah, I could pretty much see everything.
The aliens are out today. It is quiet, though.
What I am beginning to realize is that I am alien to them.
Also, I had no idea, but there is a lot of Futurama hentai on the web. I had no idea. It is sick.
There is a whole alternate universe of cartoon characters, and it is all underground, but flourishing. The whole thing is really hilarious.
For a lot of Japanese people, this stuff is just normal. It is really catching on in America, though.
Eastern and Western cultures are assimilating.
People just grow up with all this stuff, and it is just normal. I love it.
All quiet on the western front. It's holiday season. Maybe people are out shopping today.
No Christmas for me this year. Sad, but true. I will be happy just to get some new station cash for Clone Wars and buy a new RT- AT mount that just came out yesterday.
I think I've done my work in the cafe today. There isn't much more I want to write about.
I guess it is time to go and wind it up. I don't know what science fiction means right now, or what relevance it has at this moment. I guess I could read up on it on wikipedia. I already know that the real first science fiction novel was Frankenstein, and it all went from there.
I was outside thinking about how one of my art teachers called me a hack. Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. I always seem to surprise people with my talent and ability. They certainly don't expect anything good to come from me, so I am always happy to surprise them.
I don't even know what art means anymore, or what role it will play in my life. I'm trying to think this through recently.
Art today for a lot of people is an illustration on a Magic The Gathering card.
Also, unless the art is intended for some commercial product that people can enjoy, it is pretty much useless.
To go through the gallery route, and hope that I will be in a museum some day is pretty ridiculous to me now. I am an outsider looking in, and I don't seem to be welcome in that club.
What I have to do is build up my own audience and business and make it happen through sheer force of will and desire. No one else is going to do it for me, that much is for sure. Also, I have to create what they call 'kick ass' art.
I could make high art paintings that no one cares about, or I could make paintings of Futurama characters and find success that way.
It is all f**ked up, but that is how the world is.
It is Pop Culture Overdrive.
It is kind of sad that it is that way, that the noble expressions of my art are not appreciated, but really, who cares about an abstract painting done in shades of blue, when they could be looking at a painting of Homer Simpson? What will get more attention? Homer, of course.
I still like traditional art, though, that is my problem.
Maybe I can work out a compromise with myself, and just do it all.
It is also easy to just use third-party content and write about that. It worked for Baudelaire writing about art shows in Paris. I could take that idea, and write about the world that way.
No one cares about art, but I could make them care by being into it myself.
That is probably the best idea I had all day.
And what of 'Lord of The Rings'? I was reading that last night. I really like it. I like how it is written. I like the quality of the writing. I like the importance and significance of it all.
Babylon 5 has space rangers just like Middle Earth has rangers. I don't know how I feel about that direct lift, but it seems to work somehow.
It is just a t.v. show, I shouldn't get too wrapped up in it.
Babylon 5 is just entertainment, after all. Or is there deeper meaning? All of the above.
I still remember this painting I saw of Batgirl wearing nothing but her mask about to be penetrated by a rocket with her legs spread apart. It was a good painting, painted very well, with great detail. I saw it at La Luz de Jesus gallery ( The Light of Jesus ) owned by El-Vez, the Mexican Elvis. It was one of my favorite galleries in L.A. I always wanted to show in there, but I didn't have the stuff. Hard to make art when you are washing a lot of dishes for $5 an hour.
Sigh.
